Embodied, Empowered, Emergent

I had an incredible conversation today in a course I am teaching with 23 mindfulness practitioners. We’ve been together on-line weekly now since Corona turned the whole world upside down. One participant shared that this is the first time in her entire life that she felt truly effective in working with difficult inter-personal dynamics. She said she felt empowered because of her newly developed connection to her body and her expanding capacity to honor her human experience, to bring in support, and to manifest meaningful change in her life. She. felt. POWERFUL.

This is the heart-expanding and life-changing effects of integrating mindfulness into one’s life and I have had the great privilege to witness this happen again and again over the past 10 years as people learn radical self-acceptance, to ground themselves in their bodies, and to access their own inner resources of stability, clarity, discernment, and values-based action that tilts the world in the direction of greater degrees of sanity as we co-create the more just and joyous world we long for.

An embodied woman who honors her experience is empowered. An embodied, empowered woman can’t help but emerge.
