Linking Arms, Rising Together

Linking Arms, Rising Together

Four, 90-minute Session Webinar Series

Mondays, July 6th, 13th, 20th, 27th 6:00 PM-7:30 PM PDT

When women come together in solidarity, there’s no stopping what we are capable of. We need each other now more than ever before to witness one another, to elevate one another, to honor and appreciate each other. We are witnessing the fallout of the 1000+ year reign of patriarchal terror. We are in a time of reclamation when so much is possible when the cultivation of women’s wisdom is what we have been waiting for. We are who we have been waiting for. It’s the way we rise together that goes against the internalization of cultural narratives that pit women against one another, which keeps us quiet and going along with the destructive program.

In this 4-part webinar series, Lisa and Rochelle will be discussing the power of women’s community as an essential part of our work in these difficult times. We will explore the historical underpinnings of structural oppression that shattered the sanctity of women’s communities and how these forces show up in subtle yet destructive ways in our intimate relationships and how we relate to ourselves.

We will explore strategies and integrate practices that function to:

  • dismantle internalized systemic oppression and release narratives that no longer serve us

  • create spaces where women feel heard and honored

  • build sustainable and nurturing communities that nourish our tattered hearts and souls, that are trauma and culture-sensitive and elevate us and our communities together!

The Series:

Theme 1: The Context: The past is never the past but rather it lives on through us to this day. We expand our perspective by naming the conditionings and identifying the narratives that are otherwise unconscious. First, we note the difference between Systems and Individuals. Then by bringing awareness to the internalized oppressive patriarchal narratives and the hierarchies of ageism, separatism, individualism, sexism, ableism, racism we create new opportunities for ourselves and each other.

Theme 2: Feminine Models: Evoking solidarity in women’s communities uplifts and heals. This week we’ll deepen into the real nature of Women’s hearts and minds. At the heart of feminine models of leadership and motivation for success, when the destructive hierarchies ire dismantled, is that women naturally work for the benefit, embodiment, and empowerment of all. Practical Skills will be explored including holding space for healing and engagement.

Theme 3: Healing the Interpersonal: Practical Skills we will build include: Building neural pathways for connection through the narratives we want to foster in the world. Transforming our hearts for equality, possibility, creativity, and liberation. Understanding and Healing Sister Wounds and replacing Competition and Comparison Culture.

Theme 4: Community Matters: Attuning to what’s needed and what’s called for. Identifying types of communities, creating, and structuring practical, step-by-step ways of being and strategies for ongoing cultivation of connection, interpersonal reverence, reciprocity, and care for self, and the other.

We will meet live via Zoom. The link will be provided by 8 PM PT by July 5th, 2020.
